About:

Tristan Fabiunke is a Recent Graduate from San Francisco State University with a major in Technical Theater and Lighting Design. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre in May 2024. He hopes to tell stories with definitive designs for the stage that feature subjects with brilliantly stylized compositions, nuanced color and contrast, and dramatic angles.

He has worked in the Bay Area as a Lighting Designer, Assistant and Associate Lighting Designer, Programmer, and Theatrical Electrician. Some of his recent credits include: Lighting Designer for UOP Opera’s Production of Hand of Bridge/The Medium. Assistant Designer for Livermore Opera’s Cosi Fan Tutte. Associate Designer for SF Playhouse’s M. Butterfly, and Lighting Designer for Circus Bella’s winter 2025 show, Starlight.

He is looking for new, high-level design experiences that will continue to push him to be a better designer. His goal is to one day design for Broadway, Opera, and Ballet.
