Tristan Fabiunke is a Recent Graduate from San Francisco State University majoring in Technical Theater and Lighting Design. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre in May 2024. He hopes to tell stories with definitive designs for the stage that feature subjects with brilliantly stylized compositions, nuanced color and contrast, and dramatic angles.

He has worked in the Bay Area as a Lighting Designer, Assistant Lighting Designer, and Theatrical Electrician. Some of his recent credits include Lighting designer for Klanghaus Production’s regional tour of their original musical, Prose and Confluence, Lighting designer for Joffrey School of Ballet’s summer showcase, Assistant Lighting Designer for A Chorus Line (San Francisco Playhouse); Lighting Archivist on Goddess (Berkeley Repertory); and lighting assistant at Williamstown Theatre Festival (2022). SF State credits include Lighting Designer for Eurydice, University Dance Theater, Assistant Lighting Designer and Programmer for Rent, and Assistant Production Manager and Lighting Designer for LCA (School of Liberal & Creative Arts) and LCA Live.

He is looking for new, high-level design experiences that will continue to push him to be a better designer. His goal is to one day design for Broadway, Opera, and Ballet.
